He was talking to media during his one-day stop in London before heading for a three-day visit to the US for the Nuclear Security Summit being hosted by President Barack Obama in Washington.
The Prime Minister said he will discuss with President Barrack Obama matters relating to Pakistan’s security and stability.
A joint communiqué will be issued after the Summit in Washington.
He said the passage of 18th amendment is the success of the reconciliatory policy of the government. Now the focus will remain on resolving public issues in the next three years, he added.
The Nuclear Security Summit is aimed at evolving consensus on securing nuclear facilities and materials around the globe.
Earlier, Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani who is accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, was seen off at the Chaklala Air Base by members of the federal cabinet, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the three services chiefs.
Prime Minister’s participation in the Nuclear Security Summit would be his first engagement in an international forum dealing with nuclear issues after assuming the chairmanship of the National Command Authority (NCA).
Leaders from more than forty countries along with the UN Secretary General and Director General of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are attending the Summit.
Gilani will be one of the lead speakers at the inaugural dinner being hosted by President Obama on April 12 for the Heads of State/Government participating in the Summit.
