PML-N Removes PPP Ministers From Punjab Government

PML N’s Horse Trading Hurting Democracy: Babar AwanPML-N Ousts PPP Ministers From Punjab: At last PML-N Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Nawaz Sharif has announced to oust PPP ministers from the Punjab cabinet after inconclusive talks with the government on implementation on PML-N 10-point agenda.
Deadline of 45-days of PML-N to the government ended yesterday. PML-N was expecting to take an important decision today to remove PPP ministers from Punjab Cabinet.
This was announced in a press conference following a crucial meeting of PML-N central committee and other members in Islamabad. Nawaz Sharif alleged that President Zardari wanted to give constitutional status to Nov 03 measures of former President Gen Pervaiz Musharraf (retd).
He said that PML-N had nothing to do with Unification Block and it didn’t play any role in the formation of the block. He said that demand of mid-term elections was not against the constitution. He said that a number of agreements were signed with PPP but Zardari didn’t fulfill any promise.
He said, “PML-N and PPP are no more allies in Punjab, we are now two separate parties in the province and there was no other choice but to oust PPP from Punjab.” He charged that corruption is being protected today.
